Currently searching for the best possible Differential MITM attacks on various ciphers !

Work in progress, don’t worry and don’t worry me, I’m a “force tranquille” ;).

Thesis

  • I am supervised by Dr Naya-Plasencia and Dr Derbez for “Optimizing cryptanalysis of symmetric primitives” with the funding of the ERC “SoBaSyC” in the COSMIQ team at Inria Paris.
  • My goal is to encode some informatic tools in order to optimize the cryptanalysis of current symmetric primitives! For now, I am focusing on coding a MILP tool to found optimized differential Meet in the Middle attacks on several ciphers.
  • I am also looking at the construction of structures to improve Differential Meet in the Middle attacks and their direct comparison to Differential attacks.
  • I have also implemented a real Differential MITM attack on a toy cipher to underline the proper functioning of the attack framework.
  • I am currently developing a website to help block cipher cryptography by summarising all the design and attacks of the domain.

Publication

Differential Meet-in-the-Middle Attacks applied to Feistel Ciphers

  • Published and presented at Asiacrypt 2026. In this paper I worked on all parts and personally develop the MILP model described.

Improved Cryptanalysis of GIFT-64

  • Published in TOSC 2025 and presented at FSE 2026. In this paper, I particularly work on the new Differential Meet-in-the-middle on 21 and 22 rounds of GIFT-64 in the SK setup.

  • Mar 23-27 2026 : 26th Fast Software Encryption Conference (FSE), Singapore 🇸🇬.

    I presented the paper “Improved Cryptanalysis of GIFT 64”; Paper Presentation.
    This year I was a Merlion at the rump session 🦁 🧜‍♂️ !

  • Mar 31 - Apr 04 2025 : Codage and Cryptographie (C2) Days 2025 at Pornichet 🇫🇷.

    I presented my thesis subject and the state of my work at this time ; Presentation.

    I didn’t present any paper, but I hope that I was at least a good lion at the rump session 🦁.

Workshop

  • Mar 19-21 2026 : Asian-workshop on Symmetric Cryptanalysis ASK, Singapore 🇸🇬.

    • I was part with group “Automated tools and AI assisted Cryptanalysis” leaded by Dachao Wang. We interest ourselves on the recent result about the uses of IA to improve the search of integral distinguishers.
